The Ancient Art of Traditional African Storytelling
The African Diaspora's Storytelling for adults and children takes you on a journey that inspires you to learn about yourself and reflects the world around you. It highlights social values in a culture that tend to motivate people in their pursuit of a meaningful life. The oral tradition of storytelling makes it possible for a culture to pass knowledge, history, and experiences from one generation to the next. Traditional storytelling in Africa exposes us to ideas, themes, beliefs, and facts that are widely spread. African Storytelling serves many purposes. I is used to interpret the universe, resolve supernatural phenomena, natural and physical phenomena, teach us morals, maintain cultural values, pass on methods of survival, and to praise God.
Join us every week as we discuss in the podcast below all elements of African Storytelling.
